Sonship is Simple

Hello Disciple! Trust all is well with you and that you are getting better each day. As I always say, DISCIPLESHIP is a SUPERNATURAL process. It is being TRANSFORMED and CONFORMED into the LIKENESS OF CHRIST every day as we live DAILY in INTIMATE COMMUNION with our SAVIOUR, LORD, and ELDER BROTHER. Recently, in one of the IPL cricket matches, young Vaibhav Sooryavanshi of RR was asked how he was able to hit almost every ball for a SIX. His answer was superb. This is what he said: “I keep it simple: I watch the ball and play the ball, and do not focus on the bowler.” This is what we have been focusing on in several of the previous posts. You become what you FOCUS on . If our focus is to become like YESHUA, then we are going to become exactly like HIM. What are we actually FOCUSING on? This is something we must answer honestly. There are many distractions out there trying to rob our attention from what is truly TRUE, PURPOSEFUL and ETERNAL. Our main goal is SONSHIP, not just being a BELI...

You are the solution

Romans 7:24 “What an agonizing situation I am in! So who has the power to rescue this miserable man from the unwelcome intruder of sin and death?” Hello, my friend and disciple of our Lord! How has your day been so far? Were we not glad for the welcome showers we had a couple of days ago? They surely brought the temperatures considerably down. The monsoons are just days away, bringing much needed refreshing coolness and deliverance from these agonizing summer days. Apostle Paul spoke about an agonizing situation that he himself had experienced, the battle with SIN and DEATH. If we were to read the whole chapter and skip the last verse, the climax of the story would seem like a tragedy, a bad ending to the Gospel. Many Christians cry over this long battle with sin and resign themselves to the “fate” of living a defeated life. Sadly, we have often majored on Romans 7:24 with great passion about the “powerful” fallen nature, yet failed to demonstrate the far more powerful presence of Jesu...

Breaking Bad Mental Habits

Dear Friend Good Morning! I woke up a bit late today, and as usual my morning includes some intentional expressions of loud praises and thanksgiving to my Creator. I thank Him for many things: His saving grace, eternal life, the opportunity to become better today, and most importantly, His mission for my life.  By the time I go through this list, my anxieties, worries, and emotional lows take wings and flee from my mind. My thinking becomes better positioned, and my body feels more energized to take on the day with purpose and joy. Dear friend, most of our feelings are not facts. When we intentionally think and speak God’s thoughts, we immediately experience a shift from darkness to light, from gloom to a sense of bloom. God is not in control of our thinking, we are.  The control is in our hands.  He has given us the ability to guard, direct our thoughts and renew our mind. As I often say, demons are not always poking their scrawny fingers into our minds. However we can a...

Crabs or Kingdom Builders

Hello Saints! The IPL is now in its final phase, and the four teams are competing intensely to emerge as champions. One quality I noticed among these teams is the unity, cohesion, encouragement, and motivation they give one another, even when someone underperforms or makes mistakes. They continue to back each other, strengthen each other, and move forward together. This is something the Ekklesia must correct within itself. Too often, we behave like crabs in a bucket, pulling one another down, dishonoring one another, and being overly critical of each other. The Apostle Paul says it beautifully in Philippians 2:3–4: “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.” This is something we must intentionally practice in our gatherings, homes, ministries, and relationships. Honor, encouragement, and humility create an atmosphere where people can grow, heal, and flourish in Christ. The Kingdom advances best when so...

EYES to SEE the END

Hello Disciple! I trust you woke up with a PURPOSE today. If you do not have a PURPOSE to live for, ask the LORD. He will guide you day by day and REVEAL HIS gifts and callings to you. Your part is to SEEK HIM and HIS plans for your life. Here is a principle that the “gurus” of this world have photocopied. Sadly, many of us do not realize that this PRINCIPLE already exists in HIS WORD. If we can SEE the END at the BEGINNING clearly, then we are already at the END even from the BEGINNING. Confused? Look at the verse below: Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, WHO FOR THE JOY SET BEFORE HIM endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Jesus saw HIS MISSION as already accomplished. HIS PURPOSE WAS SET BEFORE HIM even as a child. The BLUEPRINT of the FATHER BURNED within HIM with passion, and HE journeyed in HIS MISSION with a FACE like FLINT. For those involved in business or any other mission, you ne...

HIS GLORY in the Hard Places

Hello Disciple! This morning I was reading Genesis 28, and I found the chapter very interesting. If I were to write a book, the title would probably be ROCK–REST–REVELATION–ROAD . That may be too long and not very appealing for a blog post title though. :) Jacob is a fascinating biblical character from whom we can learn a great deal. His turnaround in life did not happen quickly, even though he had powerful encounters with the MOST HIGH GOD. He went through very HARD TIMES before becoming the person God wanted him to be. In the case of Obed-Edom, it was a quick transformation — just three months in the PRESENCE of GOD, and everything went well for him thereafter. But for Jacob, it was different because his ASSIGNMENT was different, since his descendants would become a blessing to all the families of the earth. I noticed a certain PATTERN in the lives of those who went through the “ HARD PLACES .” The result of that season in their lives brought them to a place of becoming RESILI...

From SAW to AWE

Hello Disciple, Good Morning! Yesterday, we touched on the topic of how we can enjoy PEACE in the PRESENT by LOOKING at our FUTURE that is already in our PAST. At first, this may not seem to make sense, and that is understandable. For more context, you may want to read yesterday’s blog post . Today, more and more people are becoming physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted, and not always because of outward circumstances themselves, but because of the STRESS and ANXIETY those situations produce within us. Naturally, one of the first responses is to seek medical help and support, and there is absolutely wisdom in that. However, we must also look at the deeper ROOT of what is happening within our hearts and minds. A TREE is known by its FRUIT. Stress, Anxiety, and Worry (SAW) often reveal that we are leaning too heavily on our own understanding instead of FULLY TRUSTING GOD in our situations. Many times, we carry burdens we were never meant to carry alone. So here is a ...
