Romans 7:24

“What an agonizing situation I am in! So who has the power to rescue this miserable man from the unwelcome intruder of sin and death?”

Hello, my friend and disciple of our Lord!

How has your day been so far? Were we not glad for the welcome showers we had a couple of days ago? They surely brought the temperatures considerably down. The monsoons are just days away, bringing much needed refreshing coolness and deliverance from these agonizing summer days.

Apostle Paul spoke about an agonizing situation that he himself had experienced, the battle with SIN and DEATH. If we were to read the whole chapter and skip the last verse, the climax of the story would seem like a tragedy, a bad ending to the Gospel.

Many Christians cry over this long battle with sin and resign themselves to the “fate” of living a defeated life. Sadly, we have often majored on Romans 7:24 with great passion about the “powerful” fallen nature, yet failed to demonstrate the far more powerful presence of Jesus within us. The EKKLESIA has, in many ways, been brainwashed with a mindset of sin, the fallen nature, and death and then go to heaven or get raptured.

If we do not continue reading the last verse of Romans 7 and move into Chapter 8, we would indeed be the most miserable. There we discover the glorious DISCLOSURE of what has occurred within us through JESUS CHRIST, the Son of GOD. We have truly been freed from the POWER and the PRESENCE of sin and death and given GLORY.

We are now being formed as sons to bring SOLUTIONS to CREATION — not to groan under the burden of sin and death ourselves, but to answer the GROANS of CREATION.

My friend, please read Apostle Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:17–21. Let me quote verse 16 here:

“And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his GLORY and FAVOR until SUPERNATURAL STRENGTH floods your INNERMOST being with his DIVINGE MIGHT and EXPLOSIVE POWER.”

Did you catch that? Unlimited riches of His glory, favor, divine might, and explosive power within our innermost being! May we receive a revelation to see CHRIST in us, the HOPE of GLORY; for you are the SOLUTION creation is waiting for.

Be anxious for nothing - FCRA or No FCRA

Hello Friend, Good Morning! How are you today? Have you been following the news? There is a lot of discussion among NGOs, many of whom seem anxious about what may be coming their way. Recently, I came across several news reports about the FCRA amendment bill, which has raised concern among many Christian NGOs. Some view it as a harsh or restrictive measure and feel targeted. At the same time, there could be valid reasons for the government to introduce such legislation. Can we deny that a small percentage of NGOs have failed to maintain financial integrity in running their institutions? In such cases, the violators should be held accountable and their licenses revoked. As the Bible says, “a little leaven leavens the whole lump.” Some unscrupulous NGOs have brought disgrace to the name of Christ. Do our gatherings truly HELP us?

Do our gatherings truly HELP us grow?   I have noticed  that more and more gatherings  these days, looks more like a  “ Sunday entertainment" center, it  is HARMING than  HELPING God's people from  becoming  ROCK SOLID DISCIPLES . Our meetings should not be just a place for a lot of TALK, Emotional SINGING and Fun , however it should be a place where we are STRENGTHENED, EMPOWERED AS DISCIPLES  and SENT OUT  to be effective witnesses. When a gathering does not have DISCIPLESHIP as its CORE MISSION , then it has already moved away from the Biblical BLUE-PRINT of the Ekklesia .  If you find yourself in such a place, WHAT SHOULD YOU DO? The next best thing I can think of is to earnestly pray and look out for a fellowship which has Discipleship as one of its CORE pillars . That's it for now.
