Can we learn to hear God's voice more clearly?

Can we learn to hear God's voice more clearly?

Jesus, our Lord, is the perfect example. He did nothing on His own initiative, He only did the Father's will. (John 5). Whatever He saw the Father doing, only that He did. He heard the Father speak and spoke only what He heard.

For most of us, this kind of experience is next to impossibility. But this is exactly the kind of relationship the Lord wants us to have with HIM. The problem is not on His side, but it is on our side, we have not developed a closeness with Him. (John 10, Heb 5).

We would rather be close to people than to HIM. We would rather be religious than relational with HIM. We would rather prefer to attend gatherings multiple times in a day than spend time in His PRESENCE everyday seeking to KNOW Him. We would prefer prominence than His PRESENCE.

It says in Exodus 33:11 "And the Lord spoke unto Moses face-to-face, as a man speaketh unto his friend." Moses was so desperate for this kind of relationship that he asked for more. He asked God, "please show me your Glory".

Philip was desperate to know the Father, and He asked Jesus, "please show us the Father" and Jesus had to correct his understanding, and said that He was the Father Himself and the Father was in Him. (John 14).

Today the believer in Jesus has the greatest blessing and potential of meeting and speaking with the Father FACE-TO-FACE and hear His voice clearly. How? Because the King of Glory has already come in to DWELL in us. The KINGDOM of GOD is within you.

"Wake up you sleepyhead city
 wake up you sleepyhead people
For the King of Glory has already entered you."
