Ordinary to Extraordinary

Hello Disciple!

How are you? Are you moving forward and getting better each day? 
Are you in the X, Y, or moving to the Z zone. You are wondering what is this XYZ all about. Thank you for asking. Its something I coined and recently shared in a gathering to describe the 3 stages of spiritual life - the baby stage, the stagnant stage and the ultimate becoming a 'son and daughter' responsible stage.

Get into the DISCIPLESHIP Ship and start sailing towards your SONSHIP dear one and that is GOD's goal for you and me. The Key point of the message was from 2 Samuel 6:10-11 about a man called OBED-EDOM. He was an average 'joe' living on 'James street', nothing particularly interesting or fascinating about him or his family.

But suddenly all things changed when the ARK of the LORD was kept in his house for 3 months. The differentiator was the ARK or the Presence of the LORD that changed everything about Ordinary OBED into an EXTRAORDINARY OBED and all his household as well.

Now, the PRESENCE of the LORD has come into our LIVES when we placed our TRUST in CHRIST.  BEGIN TO ENGAGE WITH HIS PRESENCE everyday like OBED. You will start noticing the changes,  you will become a DISCIPLE following HIM, TRANSFORMED by HIS GLORY everyday and start moving TOWARD SONSHIP. Only SONS can make a difference in this world and fulfill GOD's mandate.

I am writing this article a bit hurriedly, since I have to leave on an assignment.
But for now we have a mouth full to chew.  Let us Wait upon HIS PRESENCE everyday and HOST GOD's PRESENCE well in our Lives. He will HONOR those who HONOR HIM.
You will move from ORDINARY to EXTRAORDINARY.

Be anxious for nothing - FCRA or No FCRA

Hello Friend, Good Morning! How are you today? Have you been following the news? There is a lot of discussion among NGOs, many of whom seem anxious about what may be coming their way. Recently, I came across several news reports about the FCRA amendment bill, which has raised concern among many Christian NGOs. Some view it as a harsh or restrictive measure and feel targeted. At the same time, there could be valid reasons for the government to introduce such legislation. Can we deny that a small percentage of NGOs have failed to maintain financial integrity in running their institutions? In such cases, the violators should be held accountable and their licenses revoked. As the Bible says, “a little leaven leavens the whole lump.” Some unscrupulous NGOs have brought disgrace to the name of Christ. Do our gatherings truly HELP us?

Do our gatherings truly HELP us grow?   I have noticed  that more and more gatherings  these days, looks more like a  “ Sunday entertainment" center, it  is HARMING than  HELPING God's people from  becoming  ROCK SOLID DISCIPLES . Our meetings should not be just a place for a lot of TALK, Emotional SINGING and Fun , however it should be a place where we are STRENGTHENED, EMPOWERED AS DISCIPLES  and SENT OUT  to be effective witnesses. When a gathering does not have DISCIPLESHIP as its CORE MISSION , then it has already moved away from the Biblical BLUE-PRINT of the Ekklesia .  If you find yourself in such a place, WHAT SHOULD YOU DO? The next best thing I can think of is to earnestly pray and look out for a fellowship which has Discipleship as one of its CORE pillars . That's it for now.
