Conquer Anger at Its Root

Good morning Disciple!

How has your day started? Don't tell me that your 'Anger' has gotten the better of you right at the start of the day.

Anger is big issue that most of us struggle with. I had. For some reason, I thought this topic could be relevant to many of us, especially to those for whom it has become their second nature.

Is there a good anger and a bad anger?

We shall look at the above question in a later post. But for now, we will try to understand the process and production of this negative emotion.

Simple—it all originates with a THOUGHT in our MIND. When a THOUGHT of Anger is repeatedly entertained, it dispatches neurons into our brain. The brain is the automation center of the Body.

The brain looks at these thoughts and says, “Okay, we have received a lot of consignment of 'ANGER THOUGHTS'; let me do the needful to activate the appropriate chemicals.”
You see, our brain is designed to automate and accelerate processes. It works on what we provide it. It is not designed to discern the veracity of the thought; it is neutral—neither for good nor bad.

So it produces Cortisol, Adrenaline, Serotonin, etc., and sends these signals to the Amygdala, a small part inside our brain that controls our emotions. The Amygdala then sends instructions to our body with feelings of Anger, Fury, Bitterness, and Agitation, and to manifest Outbursts of Anger, which can have terrible consequences.

When we persist in the ANGER PATH, they become HARD-WIRED PATTERNS in the BRAIN. Now the BRAIN just AUTOPILOTS these NEGATIVE EMOTIONS at the appropriate situations in our daily lives.

So this is how the chemical events in our brain-body system work, and it all starts with the kind of thoughts we choose to entertain, repeat, and ruminate on in our mind. We are so blessed now to know the inner workings of our THOUGHTS.

So the next time a thought of Anger enters our mind, we know what to do—now that we understand the process and what happens if it goes unchecked. We can stop blaming the devil for everything, but certainly we can stop his Thoughts from lodging in our MIND-BODY.

How do we OVERCOME ANGER?
Romans 12:2 gives us the OPPORTUNITY to CHANGE our THOUGHTS in order to CHANGE our LIVES. We do not have to stay STUCK and HOPELESS in this DETRIMENTAL Habit.

It is easy to CHANGE and be TRANSFORMED - ofcourse its a PROCESS. Read yesterday's POST for better understanding. The ROMANS 12:2 Way is GOD's way for our TRANSFORMATION. It's time to CONQUER ANGER AT ITS ROOT.

Shalom!
