What is man that You take THOUGHT of him
Hello Friend,
Good Morning!
Today, I woke up a little earlier than usual, walked the dog, made a cup of tea, and as always, took my place at my study desk. What a beautiful day!
How about you? How did your day begin? Feel free to share in the comments.
Habits are formed through repetition. Research suggests that it can take anywhere between 21 to 66 days for a habit to become deeply ingrained in the mind and brain. Once established, these habits begin to function on “auto-pilot,” meaning they start to influence and even control us—whether for good or for bad.
Many people today struggle with habits and addictions, often feeling hopeless, not realizing that their HABITS were quietly being formed over time until they became their MASTER. But here’s the truth: you are not your habits—that is not your IDENTITY.
The process that worked against you now can work for you. The same way habits are formed is the same way they can be overcome—by intentionally creating and replacing them with new ones.
Here’s how the process works: the mind generates thoughts, and the brain processes them. It converts thought energy into electrical signals and chemical responses, distributing them throughout the body. When we repeatedly think certain thoughts, they are transmitted to the brain creating patterns. They become hardwired, auto-pilot circuits in the brain—which we call habits (addictions). Over time, the brain begins to execute these habits automatically whenever certain conditions arise, releasing the necessary chemicals for the body to act.
Therefore be careful what you THINK, your THOUGHTS are HARD-WIRING your BRAIN constantly. Bad Thought PATTERNS are not 'demons' that can be 'CAST-OUT' by prayer - they have to be pulled down and taken captive and brought to the Obedience of Christ.
2 Cor 10:2-6, 2 Tim 1:7,Phil 4:8, Romans 12:2
Truly, we are fearfully and wonderfully made by our Creator. Our body is His temple—we are sacred space. That is why we are called to WORSHIP, MEDITATE on His WORD (not just read), and SPEND TIME ALONE in HIS PRESENCE. These spiritual HABITS REWIRE us and fuel TRANSFORMATION everyday.
This is the journey of a DISCIPLE until our LORD returns!
What new habits will you form in the month of April?
Let me know in the comments.
Shalom!
